Meet Dr. Alexis E. Dixon

Dr. Alexis E. Dixon is a board-eligible Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle surgeon. She graduated valedictorian of her medical school class with Highest Distinction at the University of Southern California. She completed her Orthopaedic Surgery residency at USC, with a significant portion of training at the Los Angeles County Medical Center, one of the largest and busiest trauma centers in the United States.

She completed her fellowship in Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle surgery at one of the oldest and foremost Foot and Ankle fellowships in the country at Baylor University in Dallas. Here, she gained expertise in complex lower extremity reconstruction and injury management.

Dr. Dixon is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. She has presented her research on issues in foot and ankle surgery at national meetings for both of these societies.

Dr. Dixon was raised on Maui, Hawaii and received her bachelor’s degree at Pomona College in Claremont, California. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

About Our Practice

Dr. Dixon works at DISC Sports & Spine Center, bringing a new area of focus to the practice.  DISC is a multidisciplinary center with physicians and providers of many specialties within an integrated group.  The focus is on operative and nonoperative rehabilition, and use of minimally invasive surgeries when possible.  While there is a focus on sports medicine, treatment is exquisite for athletes and nonathletes alike.
